In 2024, Emerson was in his final year at Singapore Polytechnic, pursuing a diploma in Business Administration. For his capstone project, he was challenged to create a real, functioning business — not just a proposal, but something tangible and market-ready.

 

At first, Emerson aimed high. He envisioned a full-scale event planning company that offered everything from venue sourcing to on-the-day coordination. But as the concept grew, so did the complications. Managing vendors, logistics, and timelines proved overwhelming, especially with limited time and resources. It became clear he needed a more focused direction.

That’s when inspiration struck.

Looking back at what made events truly memorable, one element stood out: the decorations — specifically, balloon garlands. They brought color, personality, and life to every celebration. So Emerson shifted gears, narrowing his business to something he both enjoyed and excelled at — creating custom balloon installations.

With a sharp eye for detail and a natural sense of design, he began crafting bespoke balloon setups for birthdays, baby showers, and small gatherings. Word spread quickly. What began as a school assignment turned into a full-fledged business.

Today, Emerson runs a growing venture that specialises in modern balloon decor, catering to young families and corporate clients alike. His goal is simple: to help people celebrate life’s moments with creativity, color, and joy.
